After an hour and a half of wrestling Kbug, I put him in his crib… crying 😦 This breaks my heart, but I have other responsibilities to attend to. I love him so much, and I would hold him forever if I could, but I promised Iz that we could paint tonight because her sister is spending the night out… and we are having special mommy-daughter time and it is already past bedtime. I just returned to his silent room. The first time, I realized the door needs some WD40… The second time, I rested my hand on his back and he looked up at me, so I couldn’t resist. I picked him up, sang him his song, and put him back down even though he wasn’t sleeping. He was silent for a moment… then cried for a couple of minutes… then silence… So we broke out the paints to help calm this weary heart?

Jorgi’s Bull-calf

We were blessed to live on a little farm for three years and to slow down on life (well, at least some aspects – farm-life is a lot of work too, but very enjoyable). I am so thankful and blessed to know that Jorgi and Damon found a home with a friend of ours, who has a rich pasture and a big heart for her animals! She runs quite the operation, and is always improving her methods of rotational grazing. Here is Damon and Jorgi’s little bull calf that was born today. Thanks Rintha for loving Jorgi and Damon – we couldn’t ask for a better home for them!

Fun in the sun

My life is rich. Feeling blessed! Tooth breaking through the gums of the little guy, but a little swimming brought on some smiles…very thankful for a splint instead of a cast for Isabella’s wrist as well.

Roo’s 1st Birthday

SONY DSC

Happy First Birthday, Roo!  It is hard to believe that she will soon be 5 years old.  Oh, and what a special spirit she has.  She is a lover of all things living and breathing, and she teaches so much about love each and every day.  She is genuine.  Is she perfect, no… Does she ever do something unloving, yes… But she is still quite special, and still has one of the biggest hearts that I know.  She is also a daring little thing.  The first to dive head first into any new adventure without thinking first about the risks. My heart smiles because of this little blessing!

Mending Broken Things

Looks like the girls will both have to wait a month to start gymnastics…90% of the time, my girls are sweet and loving sisters, but sweet little innocent children also sin…and as a result, Isabella’s wrist needs to heal…and Riley’s heart needs mending. The unplanned Bible lessowristn for the week: Ephesians 4:26-31
26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.”

Art Camp

We are so blessed to have such amazing ART classes so close to home!   Part of our goal for homeschooling is to allow our children to have numerous opportunities to express themselves through exploration of the extracurriculars.  Class is for a week from 9am to 1pm, and each day is a different work of art.  Iz loved to ride her bike there… and it wasn’t too much of a challenge for Mommy riding her bike and carrying all of the art work 😉

While Iz was at art camp, the rest of the family had their own little online art camp.  Here are our Picasso Dogs and a Bird exercise we completed.
