Stir Crazy at 8:00PM

What do you do when you are going stir crazy at 8:00pm? You take your kids to a place they have never been…a place “where a kid can be a kid”, and you teach them how to play your favorite games-racing and basketball!  Guess which one is Lance’s favorite and which one is mommy’s favorite! But wait, no air hockey…. What’s up with that?   So many digital games these days like iPads on steroids!

Louisiana Breakfast

Our 3 girls and their personalities! I am sure their expressions have nothing to do with the amount of sugar consumed in this one meal of beignets at Coffee Call. Unfortunately, Sissy had to go back to Georgia today.  We had a great time with her: Swimming, practice driving, movies, family- get- togethers, etc!

Improv Art Lesson

gWith my quiet and shy 6 year old at Drama Camp this week (as she requested), Roo and I practiced drawing Kbug with prisma colors. I let her pick out all the colors and she enjoyed coloring.  We also talked about shading and all the lines within an eye.

Friendship

We are blessed to have family so close.  So, we can be very productive on certain days, Kbug goes to his Nonnie’s to play with his friends and cousins.k and babies

My heart is full of love. I am proud to be a mom and a step mom. It is not often that you get alone time as a mom of 4, but last night, I had the house to myself… so I may have had a little wine and stayed out way too late hanging out with friends and making new ones…It was nice to have some me time, but I was a bit exhausted this morning. So, I had my natural vitamin, and I was good as new…and then this happened!!!

Gypsy and Jade in the City

We may not have our farm anymore, but we still have our herding dog and our barn cat…they are quite the duo! IMO, sometimes human behavior seems more animalistic than animal behavior. I enjoy watching animal interactions and individual behaviors. Most of the time, they amuse me… Well, unless they are bathing themselves… Now, that’s just gross!

Attitude

Back in March, I lost a beautiful friend. She made such an impact on my life in the short time that I knew her, that I made a promise to myself and to my family to be a better version of myself. She was such a positive light and touched so many lives. She always had a smile on her face and never a negative word. Such an amazing woman of God- we even used to joke about her taking “happy pills”. I hope one day that people who read my FB wall or meet me in person will question my happy factor! I find nothing wrong with people posting about blessings in their lives, whether it be financial, or relationship related…or about their vacations…their kids…their God….work related promotions…mission trips…cute cuddly animals…fitness and wellness goals…or even about their amazing meals (well, unless I am hungry 😉) I rather have a feed full of baby animals, motivational quotes and Bible verses, and pictures of strange meals than a page full of negative political debates or depressing news stories. Winston Churchill once said, “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” I agree that attitude can make a big difference; however, I don’t think attitudes are just little things. Attitudes are contagious. Is yours worth catching?
