Sleep, oh so sweet

SLEEP!!! It is so important, but many of us ignore this fact… and so many of us are suffering from Insomnia. I can’t recommend this book enough. I read it years ago, and it truly is amazing! I suggest going to your local library or buying it in paperback… a Nook or tablet is just not the same (ESPECIALLY, if you are a night time reader)! I think I may have to read it again myself!

SLEEP message # 2: Nothing warms my heart more than a sleeping baby in my arms.

SLEEP message # 3: When you are a new mom, sleep isn’t always an easy task to complete. If you have a friend or family member that has recently had a baby, even if it is baby number 4, kindly go visit her and her new little blessing. Don’t expect her house to be nice and tidy or for her to wait on you…in my opinion, the best thing you can give that new mama is a few hours to rest- and an already prepared meal is a nice added bonus too!

Sleep message #4. I used to not be able to sleep at night…i just couldn’t turn off the brain. Just ask the husband-3am me: Nudge, nudge, ” Lance…” Husband: “what’s wrong?” Me: ” how do you think the couch would look under the window?”
You would think this would be better after having a baby because of pure exhaustion, but so not the case, until recently. Finally!!! I found something that works! Now, my brain is able to slow down…and my body’s tensions subside…and pure relaxation begins when my head hits the pillow. I tried melatonin, and it didn’t work for me. Lance and I try to only put real food into our bodies and try to limit all the processed stuff. We also try to stay away from medications unless absolutely necessary. So blessed to have found this all natural/organic supplement that has me sleeping like a baby and fully energized throughout the day. On that note, it is time to go and get these two sweet girls ready for their dance rehearsal. BLESSED in more ways than one!

Getting into shape

I am trying to get into pre-baby # 3 shape… then pre baby #2 and #1 shape… I am an active person, but I don’t move like I used to. I went on a “speed walking” session with a friend of mine tonight… and oh my goodness – ouch! I am so thankful for my pool, it was kinda like an ice-bath after! Ice bath, a good nights rest, and some amazing natural supplements, and I shoulaaaaad be good as new in the morning.

Celebrating Accomplishments

Thank you Christine for building Iz confidence over the last three years. She has shown off her trophy to all 6 grandparents, let her brother use it as a chew toy, slept with it, and i think she may have even named it. It has been such a hectic and crazy year for us, but we found some consistency in life with Thursday night dance class…even if we had to leave our house an hour early to get there and my girls would fall asleep as we pulled up😉. Thank you!

Happy Teacher Appreciation!

Whether a homeschool mom teaching your own children or a private or public school teacher, your job is important and you are special!
Here are three reasons why I am thankful for educators:
1. You know your kids best (whether they are your actual kids or the 190 kids that you see for 45-90minutes a day) and are able to tailor their education to their needs.
2. You put their education above your own wants.
3. You persevere through the rough days and cherish the wonderful ones!
Thank you homeschool moms and traditional classroom teachers for the hard work you do to engage the minds of future generations!

Bowling with Co-op

First time for everything!  End of the year co-op field trip! The girls enjoyed the bowling just as much as they enjoyed their Cokes and cupcakes!
