Can’t wait to meet our little bundle
Reassuring doctor’s appointment today. He may be late, but mommy and baby are healthy, so no inducing. Ready to meet him, but would really like to see Iz sing at her Christmas performance tomorrow. This crib has been passed down in the King family since 1857 and each child who has slept in it has his/her name engraved on the sides. So special!
Happy Anniversary to my one and only!
11 years with this stud! We have been through ups and downs (as in any relationship), all which have made us stronger as individuals, husband and wife, and parents… we have accomplished much…but I must say, our biggest success is our beautiful children. I wouldn’t change a thing…we may not be rich in the world’s eyes, but we are rich indeed through the blessings that surround us. How are we spending the day…well, we started off by saying “oh, it’s our anniversary, isn’t it”…then a simple hug…soon we will be walking to a local coffee shop with the 14 year old….hopefully, I can make it there and back (think lance wants to meet his son soon)….then, we will get the little ones and do something outside because it’s beautiful out there…in the afternoon, we will surround ourselves with family in celebration of the union of lance’s cousin, we will say farewell to the 14 year old and happy bday to the mother in law…it may not be a campfire or a cozy secluded cabin for two, but it’s life…and who knows…maybe our simple list will be interrupted by one of life’s little surprises…and that works too. Happy anniversary to the man I love…the one who will probably not ever see this post… Now, to start the day with a long walk….wish me luck!
Target Practice
Daddy took all three of his girls to target practice at the farm house this week. Ace skipped the bow, but all enjoyed the 22 while mommy relaxed indoors as baby king decided to move backwards a week before his due date…I think he is in now in my throat. Blessed by my growing family even through the heartburn…boys sure are stubborn.
Steady my Heart
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them…,” I hope and pray that my girls grow up to realize and have confidence in the fact that they are our Creator’s masterpiece and that they have been set apart to do great things for his kingdom. I can already recognize His love through their gentle spirits… And his grace through their imperfections… He teaches me much through them… How to love, how to forgive, how to trust, how to pray with undeniable faith, and in their not so perfect “sister” moments, how to have patience and how to use a soft word to turn away wrath. He blesses me daily through these two masterpieces.
