Great article on Food intolerance vs alllergy…especially about milk. We have tried several times to switch Kbug to cow milk instead of goat milk, but each time it has been a fail. When he was a baby, breast milk and formula led to much screaming and vommitting, so we made his own fromula with goat milk. About a year ago we tried to switch him to cow milk, and he began screaming and throwing himself onto the floor or running full speed into walls, almost as if he was possessed (he was only 18 months at the time), and nothing would make him content. Until, we switched him back to goat milk!!! We recently gave cow milk a shot again… and after a few days, he became grumpy and not himself. Cow milk changes his personality, and he seems to feel miserable when on it. We switched him back to goat milk, and got our crazy, fun, hilarious, loving , and HAPPY little boy back. He has seen an allergist that told us there is no way that a child can be on goat milk and not tolerate cow milk as well. He obviously has never met my child… he also obviously doesn’t know that the makeup of these two milks is different. Anyway, i guess we will stick to goat milk at $6.50 a half gallon, trust our instincts as parents, and enjoy our little nut! Based on this article and other research, I would say Kbug is intolerant to cows milk, not allergic…. but the changes in his personality still aren’t worth a few extra bucks and conveniences. Scroll down past photo from a previous post about what worked or Kbug when he was a baby.

This is a very interesting video about fat loss in women that takes into account women’s cycles. Trainers, women, and anyone interested in fitness/diet/etc, you should watch it. I am going to try to do an experiment, and have Lance create me my next training/diet program based on these facts, while weaving some of my last training program into it.
YUM!

Just because she is DYSLEXIC, doesn’t mean she hates to read! Iz picked out this book with her Barnes and Noble card (which she won in a book writing contest). She says she picked it out because she loves dogs and because we have been watching movies about the foster care system. This book is rated for ages 10+. Will some of the words be difficult? Probably. Will she read at a slower speed than a non- dyslexic? More than likely. Will she comprehend what she reads? Without a doubt. Proud of my girl! She has such an enthusiasm for learning and sets her own challenges. She may have difficulty spelling, and she may have to take a few extra moments on reading each page, but she will preserver! Do not underestimate the dyslexic…or one with a disability…if you do, you are only fooling yourself!
This guy and his sisters prepared our dinner salad: mixed greens, tomato, peeled cucumber, avocado, oranges, chives, crushed pepper, and blue cheese vinaigrette. They did a great job!

You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl! She has been helping daddy prepare “dinner” and has been hauling pond rocks for two days in order to help me with another backyard project. For those faint of heart or with weak stomachs, don’t read any further… She also put her finger in the remaining rooster heads and put on little puppet show for us! I can’t believe she is almost 6! Love her!
VEGAS!!! below is something I wrote while in Vegas…
As I sit alone enjoying the beautiful bounty presented before me of grilled Salmon and roasted Thumbelina carrots on the patio at Mon Ami Gabi on the Las Vegas strip, my appetite is more than satisfied. I sip my glass of wine and savor every bite of my delicious meal… I take time to smell the various aromas of my feast, complete with a mint pea puree’, as I bring it towards my palette. I listen to the horns of the rental cars, cabs, and limos driven by today’s and yesterday’s youth, the chatter of diners at the surrounding tables, the loud obnoxious cries of men and women that may have had “one too many”… and I watch the activity around me.
As a Christian, what am I to think about the billboards plastered with and blatantly displaying sexuality? The trucks driving up and down the strips advertising adult shows? The young girl wearing a light display of feathers and dancing with her 4 inch heals on, begging for tips? The salesmen passing out pornographic cards inviting the passerby to sink into the sex trade? The whistles of men yearning for the attention of a woman…or… of women? Vegas here I come! Time to learn, team build, relax, and have fun! Roo prepared me a special brunch this morning- Leftover lamb and a deviled egg scramble sort of dish which she prepared entirely on her own! Delicious! I miss my family already but so excited to be part of this company that is changing people’s lives not only financially, but also in terms of health.
