Revue Time!

So proud of my girls…not because they are perfect dancers with flawless performances, but because even though nervous danceabout the “big stage”, they didn’t give up…they persevered. They have been dancing with many of the same sweet girls for the last two years, and have developed some special
friendships. I think there are so many important lessons that we can learn from our children… At least, I know my kids open my eyes everyday. Not everyday as a wife, a mother, a business owner, and a teacher is easy, but with a clearly defined WHY and an example set by the innocence of my sweet babies, it is all worth it! I am truly blessed.

Celebrating Accomplishments

Thank you Christine for building Iz confidence over the last three years. She has shown off her trophy to all 6 grandparents, let her brother use it as a chew toy, slept with it, and i think she may have even named it. It has been such a hectic and crazy year for us, but we found some consistency in life with Thursday night dance class…even if we had to leave our house an hour early to get there and my girls would fall asleep as we pulled up😉. Thank you!

Happy Teacher Appreciation!

Whether a homeschool mom teaching your own children or a private or public school teacher, your job is important and you are special!
Here are three reasons why I am thankful for educators:
1. You know your kids best (whether they are your actual kids or the 190 kids that you see for 45-90minutes a day) and are able to tailor their education to their needs.
2. You put their education above your own wants.
3. You persevere through the rough days and cherish the wonderful ones!
Thank you homeschool moms and traditional classroom teachers for the hard work you do to engage the minds of future generations!

It has been 4 months already!

For Kbug’s 4 month b-day, his 2 sisters and mommy took him to the new library, and he bought two $5.00 bikes at a thrift store for his sisters, all while his daddy and other sister relaxed in a quiet house! Such a good little brother! He brings us joy…and much exhaustion. Love him to pieces!123

Homeschooling with Baby

How things have changed for the homeschool scene. Add a baby… and the day consists of baby, bottles, and diapers, but the girls are o’kay with early night school. Who am I kidding? They would be glad to do morning, afternoon, and night school. Iz would probably even do middle-of-the-night school, if I would let her.

Number bonds

Fun with number bonds and recess! Iz is a rain cloud and we are seeing how many raindrops hit the plant and how many hit the floor to make number bonds…they loved it! Of course we did much more than this, but I am usually holding a baby instead of a camera these days!12
