Science is Fun

Oh my, how her hair has grown in a week. This activity was completed in her science Co-op class. Needless to say, the girls love Co-Op…and can’t wait to see what week 2 will be about tomorrow!Aug 21, 2014 Isabella Grass Hair

First Day of Co-op

My girls are very excited about their first day of co-op.  Our co-op meets on Fridays.  Roo is in ABC games, Music and Movement, and Arts and Crafts.  Iz is in Math, Literature, and Science.  Mommy is teaching Music and Movement, and helps out in ABC games!  It should be interesting teaching music and movement so late in pregnancy… should be good for baby King though!

Feeling very blessed. I had a bright idea late Sunday night to build a dog yard while Lance was out of town to surprise him for his birthday by taking something off of his plate. Thankful his trip got pushed back a day because it gave us a little more time to work. This may not seem like much to most, but my gift to Lance (and the gift from those who helped out), was not only a mostly completed fence… it was the gift of time to spend at home with his family. He has been working every second to pay for baby King, and feels frustrated that he can’t get all the projects done around the house. We already had most of the materials since before we even moved here to complete the project… but we lacked the time. So in 3 afternoons (and until 2:30AM on Thursday morning), with a little determination, this pregnant lady, her 5 and 3 year old, my in-laws (one who recently had knee and shoulder surgery), and friends- Dan and Cole – we mostly completed the project. Lance was very touched… as was I… I think I even shed a couple of tears because I felt so gracious and blessed beyond measure… maybe even still shedding them -I honestly don’t think it is the hormones 😉 Now, today I get to be lazy – baby King and husband’s orders. Thankful for those that God has put in my life… for my husband, family, and friends… and for the many ways He blesses me each and every day!

The School Room

The school room just needs a few little touch ups…then, it is time to move in. Though the sheetrock in the dining room won’t be back up before Christmas, once we can move into the school room, we will gain a hallway, dining room, a bedroom and a school room. Amazing how much more room we will have from just enclosing an 8×16 porch. Here is a a sneak peak of one of my favorite touches of the room. Getting excited to finish!

Blessing all around us…

As one day is ending and another one is about to begin… I am feeling really blessed! Today, we made a lot of progress on the school room; the girls were the best listeners and VERY loving sisters; we took a breather and played with baby goats; I have a clean kitchen; and NO dirty laundry (and only 2 loads to fold tomorrow)… So, tomorrow – I may work on the school room by my lonesome for a little while – but most of my day will be spent just spending time with my little girls! SWEET! I remember when I was in elementary/middle school -I got the biggest kick out of this little bird on some computer program (this was back when there pretty much was only Apple computers- you know, the Carmen San Diego/Oregon Trail days?) – Well, the boy sitting next to me, said something along the lines “you must be really simple minded because it doesn’t take much to make your day”… well, I would say that today was nothing out of the ordinary – (except for the no dirty laundry part) – but most everything about today, makes me smile and look forward to tomorrow. So, the insight into Erin from the boy that sat next to me in grade school, was dead on!
