Art Camp

We are so blessed to have such amazing ART classes so close to home!   Part of our goal for homeschooling is to allow our children to have numerous opportunities to express themselves through exploration of the extracurriculars.  Class is for a week from 9am to 1pm, and each day is a different work of art.  Iz loved to ride her bike there… and it wasn’t too much of a challenge for Mommy riding her bike and carrying all of the art work 😉

While Iz was at art camp, the rest of the family had their own little online art camp.  Here are our Picasso Dogs and a Bird exercise we completed.

We’ve got mail!

The UPS man arrived at 8:50pm, just as I was pacing around the house wondering where he was! 90% of these books were in the package…the rest, we already had! I can’t wait to get started…it is going to be an AMAZING year! Notice, I didn’t leave Kbugs learning out the pic (top right).

I am a proud mama…and in awe of His grace. He has truly given me a life that I don’t deserve. This past week, Iz had the privilege of attending a drama camp at Stevendale Baptist Church, and what a blessing it was. Last night, she was in the musical, Violet the Viking. My shy, timid, perfectionist became my dancing, singing, performing superstar…and she and around 40 other children, taught the audience how to follow God’s plan for their lives even if those around you don’t understand, and that we are children of the one true King! If anyone is looking for a great experience for their children ages 6-12, Frick and Frack’s “Art is In” camp is happening again this coming Monday thru Friday at Park Forest Baptist from 9am-3pm for ONLY $50…but trust me, it is worth so much more!!! Iz is 2nd fish on stage right in the front!! This was her big part, but she also danced and sang back up during the entire performance…and all kids had a special role….again, such a blessing!

Improv Art Lesson

gWith my quiet and shy 6 year old at Drama Camp this week (as she requested), Roo and I practiced drawing Kbug with prisma colors. I let her pick out all the colors and she enjoyed coloring.  We also talked about shading and all the lines within an eye.

Friendship

We are blessed to have family so close.  So, we can be very productive on certain days, Kbug goes to his Nonnie’s to play with his friends and cousins.k and babies

Does music move you?

When Lance is home, he has special time with the girls every evening. It consists of watching different dance techniques and listening to different genres of music… and sometimes even dancing together. This song not only has great lyrics, but the choreography that goes along with it is so beautiful – it makes it complete! My girls will be watching this tonight.
