Flashback 2003 to Present Day

July 4, 2003 – The day after I returned from working in Mexico for the summer (one of my favorite highlights in my life)  and a month and three days before I said, “yes”… another favorite highlight! Dang, we look so young!

Happy Father’s Day to my husband!

He often feels that he falls short of the silver platter he promised me the day I said, “I do”. But, I say to him, “look at what you have blessed me with – a heart overflowing with joyful love, a life full of adventure, and a beautiful family.” It is 3 AM, and my heart has been so overjoyed by taking a trip down memory lane, that I just don’t want to go to sleep. Happy Father’s Day to the Love of My Life and a one-of-a- kind dad! God has truly blessed me by giving me you!daddy collage P.S. As you sleep, do you dream R2D2?

It’s the little things…

It is a Monday morning…and a beautiful day. My heart has melted. As Kbuf and I were playing quietly in bed, he discovered his daddy…his smile stretched across his face, he climbed over to Lance, grabbed his nose and rested his head upon his shoulder. Now, we are sitting by the pool and listening to the birds sing their praises.

A weekend, what’s that?

As a firefighter’s wife, you often forget what it feels like to have a “weekend”. Well, though today was Thursday, it sure felt like a Saturday. We all (Except K bug) enjoyed a chilly swim and the neighbors even joined us after the sun went a way…plans for a working baby monitor in YeH very near future so mommy doesn’t have to run inside every 5 minutes during his nap. It was a great day. Daddy enjoyed splashing all three of his girls…and mommy enjoyed some laps. It may not be “farm” life, but we are living a good life…oh. and gypsy accidentally joined us for a swim too…she is our very hyper “lifeguard” dog…if you swim to edge she wants to gently put your arm in her mouth and pull you out… Sometimes it makes swimming laps more like mouth to mouth when you come up for air…yuck!q

Merry Christmas from the Kings. This Christmas still doesn’t even feel like Christmas… Perhaps it is the exhaustion… The new baby… Living between two houses… One of the kids being states away… Not every day is easy but every day is worth it…though most posts on Facfamily christmas photoebook are happy smiley faces, we all know life is not always just peachy… Even though life is hectic for us right now… And we may walk into a room and forget what we went in there for in the first place… Or we fail to finish a conversation because of interruptions by a fussy baby… we are blessed to have one another and are thankful to be Celebrating our Saviors birth…may this happy picture and those our friends post of their families be a continuous reminder of the blessings that are right in front of us…even through life’s struggles. Life is good… All the time… MERRY Christmas!
