Relay for Life!
In honor of those who have lost the battle with Cancer, one in particular my grandmother, Maw Maw. She loved with everything she had, and I am honored to be her granddaughter. She taught me compassion… how to laugh… and gave me permission to hurt anyone who tickled me. Gosh, I miss her!

Good morning NOLA!
This morning the girls had auditions for a movie. People have asked us why, since they can be shy? We said, for the experience, and so they can build confidence. Most people’s response, “but what if they don’t get the part – how would that help their confidence?” Maybe we look at things differently, but the confidence builder is getting up there and being comfortable to be you! They did great… and as far as we know, at this point, they didn’t get the part, but they enjoyed the experience!
Jesus is the Reason for the Season
The extended family. Kbug picked flowers for all the ladies, and the other kids found Easter eggs.

Spring Break in Houston
When Grandpa moves out of state for work, you visit… why? Because family is important!
Get Outdoors…
Today’s medicine: sunshine, cool breeze, oneness with nature, and family time!

How does dyslexia define you?
Just because she is DYSLEXIC, doesn’t mean she hates to read! Iz picked out this book with her Barnes and Noble card (which she won in a book writing contest). She says she picked it out because she loves dogs and because we have been watching movies about the foster care system. This book is rated for ages 10+. Will some of the words be difficult? Probably. Will she read at a slower speed than a non- dyslexic? More than likely. Will she comprehend what she reads? Without a doubt. Proud of my girl! She has such an enthusiasm for learning and sets her own challenges. She may have difficulty spelling, and she may have to take a few extra moments on reading each page, but she will preserver! Do not underestimate the dyslexic…or one with a disability…if you do, you are only fooling yourself!
Real Estate Mom
I am a mom and a REALTOR, but I was a mom first. Here are some helpful hints about bringing children to an open house. My girls love going to look at houses. I wish I would have used some of these ideas in the past. So, if you are going out tomorrow to view some open houses (with kids it tow), you may want to try one these fun suggestions. Happy House Hunting!

Cooking at home
This guy and his sisters prepared our dinner salad: mixed greens, tomato, peeled cucumber, avocado, oranges, chives, crushed pepper, and blue cheese vinaigrette. They did a great job!
